We’ve enjoyed an amazing P&G Alumni Network global conference. We’ve visited old friends and made new ones. As we close 2025, it’s time to choose our Board for the years ahead.
There are six seats up for election. While we are fortunate to have incumbents for all of them, this is an opportunity to add a fresh perspective, benefit from the experience of current officeholders, or to self-nominate if you wish to serve.
The only prerequisites to participate are receiving at least one paycheck from Procter & Gamble and being an officially registered member at www.pgalums.com. The nomination form will only be accessible to registered members.
Here are some things you need to know. The Global Alumni Network Board operates purely on a volunteer basis. Board Members are expected to participate in at least 10 out of 12 monthly board meetings and to take active ownership of at least one of the engagement activities and committees. To be representative and profit from diversity, we seek participation across all global time zones.
The nomination period will run from October 2 – October 28, 2025. Then, the Nomination Committee will review the nominations and make a recommendation to the Board for the candidates to be included in the election period that will run from November 1 – November 15, 2025.
Election results will be announced through our Network Newsletter and all social media channels between December 5 – 10, 2025.
If there are any questions, please contact Elsie Gallegos, Chief of Staff, at egallegos@pgalums.com
Please be advised that the only way to self-nominate or nominate someone will be through the nomination form. Each nominee should fill out the form to be included on the ballot.

City Gospel Mission: 100 Years of Hope, Healing, and New Beginnings

💌 City Gospel Mission: 100 Years of Hope, Healing, and New Beginnings
Breaking the Cycle of Poverty and Despair—One Life at a Time
In the heart of Cincinnati, a quiet revolution of hope is happening. For 100 years, City Gospel Mission has been a place where men, women, and families facing unimaginable challenges find not only shelter and food—but dignity, purpose, and a path forward. P&G Alumni Foundation is proud to partner with City Gospel Mission with their 2024 Grant Award. Here is how the partnership is paying it forward to generations to come.
Take Jonathan, for example.
“I was living in Las Vegas when my back gave out. No insurance. No income. I was basically crippled for two years. I moved to Cincinnati, living with my mom—just trying to survive on her Social Security. I wanted to work again, but I didn’t think anyone would hire me after being out for so long.”
That’s when Jonathan found JobsPlus, City Gospel Mission’s workforce readiness program. Through classes, resume help, interview coaching, and job fairs, Jonathan found more than just a job—he found hope.
“Now I’m working again. I can help my mom instead of the other way around. It feels like we’re doing pretty good. JobsPlus brought me back up again.”
Or meet Alvester, who lost his wife—his high school sweetheart of 30 years—and spiraled into homelessness and addiction.
“When she passed away, I lost everything—my home, my dignity. I went to rehab, and they told me about JobsPlus. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.”
With the help of mentors and staff who truly care, Alvester not only found a job—he’s been promoted, is training others, and even got his driver’s license back.
“They were on my side every step of the way. It’s not just about jobs. It’s about second chances, support, and believing in someone when they can’t believe in themselves.”
🔹 The Legacy of Service
Founded in 1924 by James N. Gamble of Procter & Gamble, City Gospel Mission has grown from a single downtown location to a $14 million organization transforming thousands of lives each year.
In the last two decades, they have completed 10 mergers and acquisitions, built new facilities, and launched game-changing programs like Whiz Kids (tutoring), Step Forward (recovery through running), and JobsPlus, now in its 30th year.
They are not just meeting needs—they are breaking generational cycles of poverty and despair.
🔹 Powered by People Who Care
None of this would be possible without a dedicated team of P&G alumni and the donations to the P&G Alumni Foundation:
- Barry Baker and Alumni Grant Champion, former Section Manager at P&G, is now the Executive VP and Chief Administrative Officer after 19 years of service.
- Chris Heiert, P&G retiree and former SVP of Olay, founded the Step Forward running program, empowering addiction recovery residents through training and races.
- In 2023, over 30 P&G staff and alumni volunteered regularly—as mentors, tutors, meal servers, and classroom teachers.
Thank you for standing with the P&G Alumni Foundation and City Gospel Mission—and for being part of this century-long journey of hope.
Lead Yourself First: Strengthen Your Inner Compass
Published August 19, 2025 by pgalums in
Lead Yourself First!
If you’re the CEO of your life… how’s business lately?
Uncertainty isn’t just here — it’s accelerating. You’re navigating complexity, change, and pressure every single day. You’re expected to guide your team through storm after storm… but how often do you notice the storms hitting you, too?
When the pressure spikes, do you feel self-doubt creeping in? Decision fatigue setting in? Your purpose is starting to blur while autopilot takes over?
That’s why self-leadership is no longer a “nice to have” — it’s essential.
Self-leadership is your ability to intentionally guide your own thoughts, emotions, and actions, anchored in your values, so you stay clear, resilient, and purposeful — no matter the uncertainty around you.
At the recent P&G Alumni Network Conference in Berlin, our “Leading Self” sessions gave leaders like you the space to pause, re-anchor in their values, and strengthen their internal compass.
Those short sessions were just a taster. In our personalized coaching programs — led by one of our ICF-certified coaches and fellow P&G Alumni — you get the time and space to pause, reflect, and re-align. Together, we’ll help you build the inner foundation that fuels sustainable leadership.
We’re ready to partner with you. The question is: are you ready to lead yourself first?

• Moleskine (Silver) – At Moleskine, we believe in the timeless power of handwriting as an essential expression of human civilization, a powerful act to unleash the human genius and foster the development and sharing of literacy and knowledge. In a fast-paced technological era, we proudly celebrate the artistry of the human touch; the enduring pleasure of putting pen to paper to unleash your unique voice. We celebrate the solemn, thoughtful, and meditative gesture of the pen gliding across a blank page; the romance of crafting a personal story and to record a lifelong memory and leave a distinguished mark in all its unique beauty. Handwriting is both universal and deeply personal. It’s a thoughtful way to express you true self and connect to others in a very intimate yet universally accessible way. PUT PEN TO PAPER AND UNLEASH YOUR UNIQUE VOICE.

The P&G Alumni Network
Since its inception, the P&G Alumni Network has had a three-pronged mission.
We work to help our alumni to easily connect with one another for business or personal reasons. We share the expertise of our members with one another to improve their business and personal lives. We give back to communities in which we live and work. The Network is uniquely qualified to serve our members for their entire lives.
Connect with others, learn from others, give back to others.
We do this through our global network and our local chapters. We give back through our Foundation and a firm belief in free enterprise — empowering people to create better lives for themselves and their families.
We share a distinct set of values which were nurtured by our shared experiences at Procter & Gamble.
