You’re invited to the P&G Alumni Cincinnati Holiday Party

Dear friends,

On Wednesday, December 7 @ 6pm-9pm, put on your Holiday spirit and come for hearty appetizers, wine and beer, along with the company of your P&G Alumni friends and guests.

Our hosts will be the fabulous cooks at Cincinnati Cooks! at 1141 Central Pkwy. (on-site parking lot shared with FreeStoreFoodBank). Cincinnati COOKS! is a free culinary job training program for under- and unemployed individuals and is a 2020 P&G Alumni Foundation grant recipient.

Together we will be able to be a force for good, while we enjoying each other’s company!

Tickets for P&G alumni are $25 and non-P&G alumni guests are $35. Cost includes hearty appetizers, 2 wine tastings or 2 beers or combination thereof, and soft drinks.

Due to the special nature of this event, there will be no registrations or payments at the door. Cancellations must be made by noon, Dec 4, after which there will be no refunds due to commitments to the restaurant.

Lunch & Learn (Zoom) on Wed. November 12th at 12 PM – 1 PM ET

Building on the tradition of “lunch and learns” at P&G, we are having a Zoom talk on “7 Critical AI Questions (and Answers!) for Marketing Leaders” with Jim Lecinski, a Clinical Professor of Marketing at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

In this session Prof. Lecinski will lay out seven critical themes about AI that marketing leaders need to understand, master and implement in order to successfully lead the transformation to an AI-powered, AI-first modern marketing organization. He will provide important context, frameworks and examples to bring this to life for marketers, with special focus on a CPG marketer’s lens.

Professor Jim Lecinski is a Clinical Professor of Marketing at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management–the top ranked MBA program for Marketing–where he teaches popular courses on Marketing Strategy, Omnichannel Marketing, and AI in Marketing. He has won multiple prestigious teaching awards including Kellogg Professor of the Year.

Jim is a recognized expert, in­-demand consultant and keynote speaker with over 30+ years of marketing industry experience, including a notable twelve year career at Google, where he was Vice President of Customer Solutions for the Americas.

Jim’s seminal book about the new marketing model, “Winning the Zero Moment of Truth” known as “ZMOT” [pronounced Zee-Maht] has been read by over 300,000 marketers worldwide and his ZMOT concept is included in many marketing textbooks.

His latest project, “The AI Marketing Canvas: A Five Step AI Plan for Marketers” was first published by Stanford University Press in 2021 (pre-ChatGPT!) and has been named both a top AI book and a top business book. A new updated and revised Second Edition is forthcoming later this year and you can pre-order the book here.

UAE Chapter: Iftar 2025

Join us for an Iftar to celebrate Ramadan.

Feel free to bring your spouses, kids and loved ones to make it even more special.

 

This time we gather at one of the most elaborate and iconic Ramadan tent at The Palm, Dubai.

The stunning tent welcomes 1000’s of guests every night during the season for its luxurious buffet, which will showcase international, Arabesque, Khaleeji, Persian and Turkish cuisine and play host to dedicated themed nights.

There will be a traditional live Arabic sweet-making station as well as the likes of kunafa, osmaliya with ashta and an ice cream station.

The P&G Alumni Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) Board Program is all about supporting and connecting women who want to step into board roles. Our network brings together talented P&G alumni who have built successful careers and now serve on boards across industries and sectors.

This session is designed to help you navigate the path to a Non-Executive Director (NED) role—whether in public companies, private businesses, or non-profits. There’s no better way to prepare than learning from those who have done it.

Our panel of experienced board members and experts will share practical advice and real-world insights to help you create a strong action plan and take the right steps toward a board position.

Hear from:

  • Oliver Cummings – CEO of the leading board search specialist (Nurole) and board community (NurolePlus). Host of Enter the Boardroom, a top 100 Apple business podcast featuring boardroom leaders. Previously a private equity investor at BXR Partners, where he was the youngest-ever partner, and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners. Previous NED experience includes investor director roles, startup advisory boards, and eight years as an independent for a multi-generational family business.
  • Roisin Donnelly – Roisin spent over 30 years leading marketing and brand building at Procter & Gamble in different UK and international roles, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer for P&G Northern Europe (2014-2016). Roisin’s current non-executive directorships include NatWest Group, Premier Foods plc and The Sage Group plc. Her previous NED roles include HomeServe plc, Just Eat plc, Holland and Barrett Limited, and Bourne Leisure Limited.
  • Francesca Ecsery – Francesca is a Portfolio Non-Executive Director, SID and Chair of remunerations committee with expertise in Marketing and 30+ years’ experience in directing in both blue-chip companies a well as start-ups in the Digital / Retail / FMCG / Leisure Travel industries. She currently sits on four boards across Air France, Henderson High Income, Haffner Energy, and the Association of Investment Companies.
  • Ann Francke OBE (Chair) – Ann is Chief Executive of the Chartered Management Institute, the UK’s leading professional body for management and leadership with an international member community of over 220,000. She started her career at Procter & Gamble and has held senior executive positions at Mars, Boots, Yell and BSI. Ann is a Trustee at the Engineering Council.

Prior to joining the Aerospace Industry, Dana started Munch:On ground up that got acquired by Careem in 2022. Her story inspires us on choosing the route of entreprenuership and getting investments to scale up, leading to getting acquired by Careem in 2022

Dana Baki is the Chief Commercial Officer of The Exploration Company, one of the fastest growing space companies globally, building reusable space capsules and lunar landers. This Nyx capsule will be the first to use green propellant globally, while flying at a fraction of the cost of global competition.
Prior to joining The Exploration Company, Dana was the co-founder & COO of MUNCH:ON, a food technology platform based out of the Middle East, that was acquired by Careem (Uber’s subsidiary in the region). Before starting MUNCH:ON, Dana was a Partner of Business Development at AlJal Capital—a financing and venture capital firm in the United Arab Emirates. Previous to that, Ms. Baki worked for Procter & Gamble in the United States for 7+ years, benefiting from a wide range of assignments within the company and gaining expertise in Corporate Strategy, Marketing and Consumer Insights.
She holds an MBA from Georgetown University and B.A. in Economics and English Literature from The University of Michigan.

The building entrance is near the corner of 7th St and Maryland Ave SW where the L’Enfant Metro station is. There is limited metered street parking, and there is also a paid parking garage on C St SW and Maryland Ave SW.  If you are taking the metro – exit at L’Enfant Plaza metro station from the Maryland Ave & 7th St side.  Upon entry to the building, all guests must sign in and receive a visitor badge. A Smithsonian representative will be there to welcome you and escort you to the 2nd floor.

Washington DC Chapter: Tablers Station Plant Visit – Rescheduled – Date TBD, Check This Page for Updates

This event will not be held on March 16, 2024.  When the event is rescheduled,  this page will provide updates.

 

In 2018, P&G began manufacturing Bounce at its new $500 million plant in Berkeley County, W.Va., which is just the second new P&G site in the United States since 1971.  The site has more than 2 million square feet under roof, which is equal to about nine Manhattan city blocks, according to former P&G CEO David Taylor. It sits on 450 acres of previously vacant land, and employs over 1500 full-time P&G employees.  “We’re constructing more cost-effective, multi-category manufacturing sites in geographically strategic locations, automating and digitizing these sites to minimize cost and maximize flexibility,” Taylor told market analysts in 2018.

We are going to be able to offer you (and perhaps your spouse/kids/guests) an exclusive private tour of the plant. The Tablers Station plant, located in the panhandle of West Virginia near the Maryland and Virginia border, is an easy 1.5 hour drive from downtown Washington, DC.  More information will be available soon.

For perspective, it is under 70 miles from Tysons Corner, and under 80 miles from Bethesda.

Tentatively, we expect to schedule the tour around 11am.  The tour should last 30-60 minutes.  After our tour, we will have an optional (but strongly encouraged) networking lunch at one of the following:

  1. A restaurant near the plant
  2. Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races (25 minutes SE of plant, with lots of good restaurant options that can easily seat a crowd)
  3. A Harpers Ferry restaurant (about 35 minutes SE of plant)
  4. A Martinsburg, WV restaurant (about 10 minutes N of plant)
