Most recently, Ankur has been leading Amazon’s Global Retail Imports strategy and technology roadmap, driving more than $1 Billion in projected annual savings while navigating the realities of global trade, compliance, and an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape. Before returning to Amazon, Ankur spent 1.5 years as an early Ops exec at CarGurus, where he helped build the operating model and financial infrastructure for a new digital retail division. Prior to that, Ankur spent nearly NINE years at Amazon across a wide range of supply chain and operations leadership roles — from warehouse and last-mile operations, to robotics fulfillment, to vendor integration during the COVID-era supply recovery. Across all those diverse Amazon roles, Ankur drove billions in measurable value, owned a $500M+ P&L, operated across 20+ facilities, and led teams of 700+ people. Earlier in his career, Ankur spent six years at Procter & Gamble as a Senior Purchasing Manager in Cincinnati and Singapore, working across categories including Baby, Fem, and Family Care packaging, and leading multi-market supplier and cost transformations. Ankur began his career at Toyota North America in Northern Kentucky, managing large-scale portfolios and vehicle programs.

Ankur earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell and his master’s from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business / Tauber Institute, and is now based in the greater Boston area with his wife and three children. You’ll enjoy this candid conversation about constant curiosity, bias for action, and how a genuine care for people and relationships can make a difference.

Our relationship with the Company continues to be outstanding, and I can honestly say we are the envy of corporate alumni groups everywhere. Special thanks to Marc Pritchard for our remarkable partnership with the Company and to Jon Moeller for his support. We look forward to working with Shailesh Jejurikar as he takes on his leadership position.

As some of you know, in my day job, I teach the classic “one page memo” class called Leadership On Paper, and in that role, I get to meet a wide range of current Company employees. When I’m with them, in addition to the workshop, I have the opportunity to tell them about the Company of which they are a part. The heritage. The values. The special bond that we all share. The Company continues to identify great talent and, even more importantly, people who share the values that separate P&G from so many other fine organisations.

Last June, we held our 12th Global Conference in the host city of Berlin. Thanks to the hard work of Ute Hagen, Otmar Debald and the entire German Chapter, we had a record turnout and an outstanding event. Videos of each session are available for viewing. In 2027, we will return the event to the U.S. and specifically to the city where it all began – Cincinnati. More news to come, and I hope we will see many of you there.

Financially, we continue to be on a very solid footing, and the Foundation had yet another banner year, which you can track in the Annual Impact Report. Rest assured that our conservative approach to financials has the Network and the Foundation protected with the funds needed to operate for several years, and plans are underway to expand our ability to generate the funding required to grow our offerings for our alumni.

In 2025, we added several new faces to the Network Board, and we thank several of our peers who have moved on. Joining the Board are Patricia Spisto from Mexico, Hikaru Adachi from Japan, Ali Tahiri from Morocco, Catherine Hostein from France, Sophia Toh, our new Treasurer, and Raquelle Zuzarte from the U.S.

I want to take a moment to thank York Huang who has built and led our Chinese Chapters to great success, Eric Vanderschueren our outgoing Treasurer and my personal counsellor, Ute Hagen our outgoing Vice Chair and Berlin Global Conference organizer who is moving on to focus on developing our European organization, and Fernando Jimenez from our Mexico Chapter who focused on Enrichment, for their service.

Our board continues to reflect the diversity of our membership and the global reach of our mission. To better serve the breadth of the membership, we added two new seats to the Board this year.

Consistent with our mission, we continue to expand our offerings, adding them to our existing enrichment programs, and dramatically improving our communications tools and processes, all in order to serve our members better.

Notable successes, among our programs and initiatives, include:
Beyond our very successful Learnings From Leaders podcast series and our global and Spanish-speaking webinar series, we have started targeted webinars for subsets of the Network based on areas of particular interest. Our Women’s Forum, our Black Alumni Forum, the Digital Forum, and our Insights & Analytics Forum each have created dedicated content. And the Foundation continues to create special content of interest to our members and our donors.
The Women’s Leadership Forum has begun a program dedicated to helping alumni prepare for and secure board roles, augmenting their highly regarded coaching program.
Our Younger Alumni efforts are being bolstered by the addition of several younger alumni to the Board. We are exploring a Mentoring program designed to match senior alumni with their younger counterparts.

Further:
We continued to add and build our chapter organisation and had several chapter leaders in attendance at the Conference. Ranu Gupta, who leads our chapter efforts, has helped us add chapters in several cities and countries around the world.
We have worked with the Company, which now includes information about the Network in the exit package for employees who leave the business. This will make it easier for them to seamlessly transition and continue to be part of our lifelong family.
And as can be seen in the Alumni Foundation Impact Report, our Foundation had another remarkable year in terms of both fundraising and grants, dramatically increasing our impact against the objective of alumni involvement in fostering economic empowerment around the world.
We are now exploring a program to connect our alumni with companies that see the benefit of contracting to have P&G expertise and experience as part of their businesses. More to come on this.

It has been a turbulent year around the world. Too many of us have taken to a we/they view on nearly every topic, every conversation, every debate. Compromise and statesmanship appear to be unacceptable to too many leaders. As I said in last year’s letter, as we embark on the new year, we continue to face a world of greater uncertainty than we have encountered in some time. But the people in this Network, this family, continue to believe that the shared values that connect us as alumni will allow us to deal with whatever comes our way.

Once again, I leave you with my own belief — that when we harness the experience, expertise, and creativity of Procter & Gamble people, we can make great things happen.

In sum, as we move forward, I am pleased to report that the Network and the Foundation continue to be healthy and thriving – and it’s all thanks to you, who have been with us from the very start.

From our families to yours, our sincere wish for 2026 is Peace on Earth and Goodwill toward Everyone.

Ed Tazzia, Chairman

Before December 31, you can still help the P&G Alumni Foundation fund alumni-led nonprofits that train people to build their own sustainable futures. Please consider supporting your fellow P&G Alumni community around the globe who are using their P&G training to create lasting opportunities.

Every dollar creates opportunity — training someone for a job, starting a small business, or leading their community toward a better tomorrow.

Like Just Earth – Kenya (P&G Alum Grant Champion Alex Lloyd Davies): With the support of a P&G Alumni Foundation Grant, farmers in rural villages and the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, home to circa 300,000 refugees,  learn sustainable agriculture, business, and finance skills — boosting harvests 3x–8x, improving family nutrition and enabling children to go to school.

We have come a long way, but for every Grant like Just Earth, 5 more organizations are waiting to be funded.  That is 10,000 people who will not be trained this year alone.

Let’s finish 2025 strong. Together, we can turn our shared P&G training into a global opportunity.

Give before Dec 31, 2025.

Help us fund a full year of grants – our goal is $275,000It’s with true gratitude to P&G Alum David Taylor — every dollar donated to the Alumni Foundation will be 100% MATCHED!   Your donation of $25 becomes $50, $100 becomes $200, $1,000 becomes $2,000, and so on up to $100,000!

There are many Ways to Give

He returns to our podcast to discuss his new book, “100 Books That Shaped My Life: Reflections on a Lifetime of Reading, “which might just be the perfect gift this holiday season, for yourself or for anyone in your life who loves a good read.

“100 Books That Shaped My Life” is no mere book list — it is a life story told through the books that walked alongside John: as a husband, father, leader, citizen, and as someone thinking deeply about what matters most in the time we’re given. These are the books that shaped John’s understanding of history, democracy, gratitude, and hope — especially in the most recent chapters of his life.

Moving from Values, to Biographies, Philosophy, U.S. and Global History, Memoirs, Novels, and Personal Essays, 100 Books That Shaped My Life mirrors something true about John himself: a leader shaped not by one discipline, but by a lifelong curiosity across every discipline. In our conversation, John reflects on how a lifetime of reading helped him better live a lifetime — deepening his understanding of friendship, love, loss, courage, service, and the quiet beauty of everyday life.

John’s literary influences range from novelists like John Steinbeck, Oliver Sacks, Wallace Stegner, Marilynne Robinson, George Orwell, and Tolstoy, to memoirists such as Frederick Douglass, Katharine Graham, James Reston, and Michelle Obama, to historians and biographers including David Blight, Jon Meacham, Doris Kearns Goodwin, Jill Lepore, and so many others. Woven through all of it is a deeply human narrative — his love for his late wife, Francie; his reflections on aging, family, and purpose; the leaders who shaped him; the lessons hard-won; and the quiet moments that stayed with him.

As Bob Iger put it, “Whether you’re an executive or simply someone who loves reading and learning, you will find great value and wisdom in this book.” And we couldn’t agree more. For anyone who enjoys learning from lived experience, this conversation — and this book — make a wonderful companion. It might even inspire you to reflect on everything you’ve read and learned along the way. Be sure to check out John Pepper’s “100 Books That Shaped My Life” wherever you get your favorite books.

Join the movement and give.  There are many ways to give, whether it is some of your time or a donation to your local charity.  Or you can consider giving to The P&G Alumni Foundation that is working to teach and create sustainable economic empowerment around the world.

One example is the non profit ELIS in Italy with P&G Alum Grant Champion Virginia Filippi.  Through a 2024 grant from the P&G Alumni Foundation, 15 young adults who have come in contact with the legal justice system have been trained with professional certification as industrial electrical installers, given life skills coaching, and peer-to-peer mentorship as part of Elis’ Project Second Chance. Previous participants saw nearly 100% reduction in recidivism, allowing them to create a sustainable life for themselves and their families.  Over 6,000 people have been trained by this program so far.

This year was our highest grant year ever- $230,000 awarded from 12 Grants plus an additional $20,000 in Germany – with 260,000+ lives improved across 47 countries.  Although we have come a long way, there is still much to be done.  For every grant we make, 5 are waiting for funding, that’s 10,000 people not trained and 2,000 new businesses not started this year alone.

YEAR-END CHALLENGE!

We invite you to consider a new or extended gift to the Foundation.  Help us fund a full year of grants – our goal is $275,000. Your support inspires others to get involved and creates a ripple effect of positive change. It’s with true gratitude to P&G Alum David Taylor that  every dollar donated to the Alumni Foundation will be 100% MATCHED!   Your donation of $25 becomes $50, $100 becomes $200, $1,000 becomes $2,000 and so on up to $100,000!

Through this initiative, P&G Alumni are applying the superpowers learned at P&G — strategic thinking, root problem solving, brand building, and behavior change — to help nonprofits thrive, expand their reach, and create long-term opportunities for those they serve.

Our journey begins: Changing Lives, One Job at a Time!

We are thrilled to share the exciting first steps the P&GA Italia Foundation  is taking to fulfill our core mission: helping individuals facing social vulnerability find a firm footing in the workforce and build brighter futures.

The Pilot Test with NEXT and SAVET

We launched our very first pilot project in collaboration with NEXT, an association renowned for its incredible work in integrating vulnerable talents. We proudly note that NEXT is a trusted partner, having been funded by P&G Italia for three consecutive years under their social responsibility projects. We partnered with SAVET, a leading company in industrial and urban green space maintenance, introduced by our Board Member, Federico Minoli.

Our role was that of a strategic connector between the company and the association. NEXT directly covered the training costs, and our team of PG Alumni – Daniela Bottarelli and Txema Maequiegui –  generously dedicated their time and expertise as volunteers, guiding the participants through the training. As a result, out of 10 people involved, 5 have already been hired and  our collaboration with NEXT continues to secure new opportunities for the others.

Project approved with  DOLE S.P.A.

Our first officially approved project is kicking off with a giant in the fruit and vegetable sector: DOLE s.p.a., again alongside the NEXT association.

We will be training skilled Warehouse Workers and the program is scheduled to start in January and will last for one month. Our Grant ( 20.000€/ 23.000 USD ) will cover the entire training cost, providing participants with both theoretical instruction and valuable on-the-job experience.  We will involve about 10 participants, and our ambition is for 5 of them to be hired by Dole immediately and the other within one year: This partnership was made possible by Cinzia Angeli, who has a direct connection with the General Manager, Giusto Curti, a former P&G manager.  Volunteers at the Heart are Daniela and Txema who will once again participate directly in the in-class training. The long-term goal is to replicate this successful model at the company’s other warehouses across Central Italy!

Project to be approved  : EmpowerHer proposed by ELIS

EmpowerHer ,proposed by Elis association, is a project designed to provide tools for women’s personal and professional empowerment, developed in honour of Francie Peppier. The initiative focuses on digital skills training to enhance employability in the Customer Care sector. The program is targeted at 15 women, with an employability goal of 80%, and is expected to be funded (USD 25,000) through the generous contributions of John Pepper and Federico Minoli. We selected ELIS, a high-profile association that has previously won a P&G Alumni award. Virginia Filippi is our tireless Champion (advocate and key contact).

Pillars of Trust and Support

We are incredibly honored to have received the support of two P&G pillars:  John Pepper and Toni Belloni.  We thank them wholeheartedly for their trust and their inspiring words and we want to quote few lines of their letters

”  The establishment of the P&G Alumni Foundation in Italy give me pride and emotions (…) Many years have passed, and we still are all very attached to our true alma mater, and joined by a professional experience that has been transformational for our lives as well. So good!!!” Toni Belloni

“To have all these purpose-driven groups of people coming together in a cause of improving life for people—an extension of P&G’s purpose—is an inspiration.” John Pepper

It is just the beginning; there is so much more to come!

Before Tapestry, Sandeep spent over two decades at Procter & Gamble, where he rose through local, regional, and global marketing leadership roles across India and Singapore—eventually becoming Global CEO of SK-II, P&G’s prestige skincare brand.

You’ll enjoy this candid conversation about the lessons behind Sandeep’s remarkable journey—from being placed on a performance plan early in his career to leading some of the world’s most iconic luxury and beauty brands.

His turning point? Realizing that having a strong point of view—and voicing it—is just as critical as delivering great work. You’ll hear about how marketing leaders blend logic and magic, why emotional resonance is the real currency of brand-building, and how true business acumen comes from connecting the dots across an organization rather than chasing every new tool.

A graduate of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (MBA) and Jadavpur University, Kolkata (Civil Engineering), Sandeep brings a rare mix of analytical rigor, creative instinct, and humility to his leadership philosophy. If you’re thinking about stepping into a bigger role—or simply want to become a more intentional marketing leader—this episode is packed with sharp, grounded insights from someone who’s lived it.

But what if there’s more to the story? Hear how one leader wrestles with the tension between leadership, empathy, and the messiness of modern work — from the cruelty of corporate language to the uncomfortable idea that even bad bosses and BS jobs might serve a purpose. It’s a raw look at how we lead, how we’re led, and how we can find meaning in the middle of the madness.

This conversation is from P&G Alum Bob Gilbreath’s podcast & newsletter “The Workaround” — Bob is a repeat startup founder with two exits. Bob’s stories and conversations — from a career in tech startups and corporate innovation — are here to make you think, smile, and discover a shortcut to success or a trap to avoid. We’ve seen it time and again: senior leaders who are incredibly smart and capable, but whose habits have become a bit too rigid. They rely on the same patterns that brought them success, unaware that what worked before might now be holding them back.

If you’re wondering if this applies to you, consider the risks: reduced influence, disengaged teams, missed opportunities, and even stalled careers. What got you here may not be enough to keep you at the top.

Ready to explore what’s next?

With exclusive rates for P&G Alumni, our team of ICF-certified coaches—also P&G Alumni—are ready to partner with you to uncover these patterns, strengthen your agility, and help you expand your leadership impact in today’s complex environment.

When the pressure spikes, do you feel self-doubt creeping in? Decision fatigue setting in? Your purpose is starting to blur while autopilot takes over?

That’s why self-leadership is no longer a “nice to have” — it’s essential.
